The Senior Relief Coordinator (SRC) is a key member of the Global Rapid Response Team (GRRT) ready to be deployed to an emergency site anywhere in the world within 24 to 72 hours. You will be responsible for leading the response team and building relationships with key stakeholders (government, UN, donors and NGOs) typically for the initial phases of the response –up to three months.
During periods of non-crisis management , you will engage in disaster preparedness and mitigation, design, training and capacity building , and networking with donors and academic institutions. You will also facilitate and promote disaster mitigation models around the WV partnership.
To do this effectively, you need to be a degree holder with 5+ years of working experience in leading large scale emergencies, proven development programming experience, a strong knowledge of the industry and strong empirical knowledge of the humanitarian sector.
