Key Performance Areas:


CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
Compile and manage contracts with service providers. Evaluate contract stipulations and provide recommendations. Communicate and ensure adherence to contractual rights and obligations. Record and monitor contract compliance and renewal applications. Investigate need for contract extensions and terminate contractual relationship upon completion if required. Approve or seek approval of relevant contracts and documentation in line with departmental budgetary stipulations.
PROCUREMENT CONTROL
Conduct monthly reporting on contracting process. Ensure procurement savings occur. Compile tender documentation as per project. Determine commercial and financial evaluation of tenders. Obtain tenders from specific marketplace through marketing process. Enforce contractual rights toward adhering to contract and legal requirements.
COMMODITY STRATEGY
Ensure all departmental activities and operations occur within the overall BU Own Commodity strategy requirements / stipulations. Assist with the formulation of the commodity strategy toward achieving alignment with the overall BU strategy.
CUSTOMER AND SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS
Maintain a database of supplier information and continuously ensure that the integrity and quality of data are of the required standard and relevant. Liaise with Supply Chain personnel and suppliers in order to provide input in the development of SLA's with suppliers. Support the on-boarding of new suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
SYSTEMS INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENABLEMENT
Support the implementation of contract management technology and infrastructure that supports the contract management processes in the commodity management capability. Assume responsibility for the integrity and utilisation of the relevant information for contract management technology.
BEST PRACTICE AND CI
Identify and support the implementation of process and system enhancements to continuously improve the contract management process.
COMPLIANCE, GOVERNANCE AND ASSURANCE
Responsible for implementing changes to applicable contract policy. Ensure supplier stakeholders comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Consolidate reports and provide feedback to the Procurement Manager on the appropriate contract management reporting and governance requirements. Promote good housekeeping practices and accept safety responsibility. Embrace a culture that focuses on safety in the BU/Regional environment.
