IS is now also able to provide specific infrastructure facilities to customers, having received a full Electronic Communications Network Service( ECNS) license in 2009.

As a Email Security Engineer in the Communications team, you will be involved in design, enhancement, implementation, management, monitoring, and administrative tasks within the email security infrastructure environment, including Mail Marshals, Iron Ports, Symantec and associated technologies.

At this level, the individual is included in higher complexity design work, with input to the design mandatory and to take ownership of relevant technologies.

The Email Security Engineer will require good project skills which are required in the execution of the email security strategy within the business.

The Email Security Engineer is to ensure the successful operational delivery of all service engagements, consistent with our commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction is paramount. The objectives of the role are to assist the team achieve improved overall performance, availability and stability of supported systems.





What we will expect you to do:

As a Email Security Engineer you will be involved in:

Design and Planning
Deployment
- Oversee system configuration maintenance
- Oversee baseline architecture maintenance
Operational Excellence
- Be responsible for the technical quality of work being delivered
Providing 3rd level support / escalation handling for IS
Support, Management, Sales, Service Management, Business Units, Solutions Architects etc
Capacity Management
Availability Management
IT Continuity Management
Incident and Problem Management
Change and Release Management
Enhancing and managing the redundancy and disaster recovery strategy
Maintaining backend Windows environments, including active directory and SQL clusters
Implementation of ISO 20 000 Strategy
Working standby on a rotational basis
Improved process efficiencies and process adherence



Qualifications




Here’s what we are looking for in candidates for this job:

Key requirements:

Technical Certification to compliment experience (MCTS\MCITP)
CCNA
On-going review and obtainment of knowledge and skills within technology and business spheres.
3 years within related environments ideally with mail content filtering and anti-spam products such as Mail
Marshal and Iron Port, including detailed SMTP knowledge
3 years’ experience with MS SQL server, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, MS DNS is a major plus
3 years’ experience with Exchange Server
Basic routing and switching experience
Groupwise, Domino or Postfix experience is a plus
XML, HTML and ASP skills is a plus
