To provide administrative support to the Equity Advisors and to aid

in ensuring a holistic client service and relationship maintenance to

Stockbroking clients. Also ensuring that the policies and procedures

of Stockbroking are properly implemented and that all controls

necessary are in place to minimize risk.

Clearly understands the lifestyle, needs and expectations of the Stockbroking Private Clients, client base, and the implication this has on their role and service ability to perform under pressure.

Clearly understands and applies strict internal controls, as per the processes and procedures of Stockbroking and the greater Bank.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability

Attend to queries (in reception, telephonically and via e-mail) speedily, feedback within 24 hours.
Prepare estate valuations and arrange invoices and payments
Transfer of shares to/from other brokers
Forex Payments
Maintain Debit Balances
Issuing of copy statements, brokers notes, tax statements, invoices
Updating client information in BDA when required
Opening of new accounts and ensuring that the accounts are FICA compliant
Attend to Asset Swaps / Foreign Capital Allowance transactions

Experience

At least one year in a stockbroking client services environment will be beneficial

Knowledge

General knowledge of JSE processes and procedures
Good knowledge of offshore transactions
A good knowledge of systems in use (BDA, MAIA, iTrade etc)
Understands fully the Financial Intelligence Centre Act
A basic understanding of Exchange Control Regulations
