Main purpose of the job: To focus on the Division?s prime security i.e. the debtor?s book and report on the administration and collectability of the security. To provide workable recommendations to problem areas and ensure the compliance of our requirements by successful engagement of customers? staff and management Customer Service Efficiency: ?Interacting with Prospect?s to obtain information to assist with debtor administration evaluations and to assist clients to better understand their debtor finance facility. ?Accurate preparation, calculations and capturing of reports within agreed and set time limits ?Ensure workable recommendations to problem areas & ensure compliance of our requirements by successful engagement of customer?s staff and management. Accountable for: ?Accurate and timeous updating of files on customer accounts ?Compliance within policies and procedures and statutory requirements where applicable ?Ability to assess collectability of the debtor?s book. Responsible for: ?Accuracy and content of report ?Checking and preparation before review ?Reporting urgent problems found immediately and timeously
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability
To report on the compliance within policies and statutory requirements.
To evaluate and report on the clients debtor administration controls and procedures by performing on site customer reviews.
ToReports to be completed using Review Report Questionnaire as a guideline in order to asses whether supplier?s administration meets Debtor Finance.
To Identify trends and level of controls within the Prospect?s environment
Ability to assess collectability of the debtor?s book.
To identify and report on non financeable items
To report urgent problems found immediately and timeously
Experience
Minimum 5 years working experience
Experience of debtors and creditors reconciliation?s
Experience of cash book reconciliation?s
Bookkeeping to balance sheet experience
Knowledge
Knowledge of Debtor Finance environment
In depth knowledge of invoicing methodology
A relevant tertiary banking qualification e.g. CAIB SA / Commercial degree is an advantage, or significant progress towards obtaining same.
Knowledge of administration and accounting/computer systems of the various industries
Knowledge of Debtor Finance (Factoring) environment would be an advantage
