Purpose of job:
Physically value residential properties for purchase or security purposes, including small holdings and sectional titles on a market comparative basis. In addition establish a current replacement cost for insurance purposes. (The information supplied would be a guideline to management for mortgage lending purposes)
Key result areas:
Achieve 90% turn-around-time within one day for all new business assessments
Understanding and meeting internal/external customers' needs
Number of assessments per day:
12 Assessments per day
12 Regional
Internal Audit review
No operational losses due to negligence
Adhere to policy & bulletins
Minimising cost in department
Minimising expenses i.e. cell phone accounts, petrol returns, faxes.
Qualifications:
Grade 12
A certificate / diploma in a building and valuation related field
Registered with the S A Council of Valuers and a member of the S A Institute of Valuers
Valid drivers license
Experience required:
At least 5 years experience in related field
Needs to be well versed in the following aspects of assessments:
Residential (dwellings, sectional titles, developments, building loans)
Small holdings
Vacant land
Commercial assessments
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability
12 Assessments per day, 12 Regional, Internal Audit review
