The Department of Adelaide Tambo School of Nursing, in the Faculty of Science has a permanent position of Associate Professor at the Pretoria Campus

Critical Performance Areas

• Teaching, facilitation and assessment of learning in the Nursing programmes of the School.
• Participation in activities related to the learning programmes of the School, such as curriculum development, quality assurance and community engagement.
• Academic administration related to teaching and learning activities.
• Participate in research and supervise postgraduate students on research topics within the niche area of the School.


Minimum Requirements

• A Doctoral degree in Nursing.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing recognized by the SA Nursing Council.
• A post-basic qualification in Nursing Education is essential.
• Five (5) years of teaching experience in one of the disciplines of Nursing as well as research experience.
• Supervision of Masters and/or Doctoral Students.
• A proven research track record of publications in both national and international journals.
• Presentation at national and international conferences.

Candidates may be subjected to appropriate psychometric testing and other selection instruments.
