JOB PURPOSE
Objective:
System testing
Quality system and user acceptance testing
Setup of codes and products
Handling of enquiries from users
Training of users
Change control
Demonstrations
Strengths in the following areas:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Structured approach to problem solving with attention to detail
Ability to act as the “bridge” between technical people
(developers) and the user
Ability to look for and understand the “big picture”
Ability to “sell” a solution or explanation to a customer
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
Qualifications and experience:
Previous banking systems and banking operations experience is a requirement
Knowledge of banking finance (e.g. calculation of interest on loan and savings accounts, fees, general accounting principles, GL, etc.)
Experience of workflow implementations in a banking environment would be an advantage
Prior experience in developing test plans and the testing of software would be an advantage
Previous exposure to the software development life cycle would be an advantage
An applicable degree such as BCom Informatics would be an advantage
