Main Purpose:

Preparation of financial statements of various entities and individuals/sole proprietors and perform general accounting functions.

Responsibilities/Output:

Processing of data
Creditors and debtors reconciliations
Cashbook: transaction capturing, reconciliation and query handling
Input and output reasonability reconciliations
VAT: submission, control account administration, reconciliation, compliance controls and query handling
Ensure all transactions are captured in accordance with the VAT Act
Depreciation calculations
Wear and tear calculations for tax
Reconciliations with trial balance
Preparation of financial statements of companies, trusts, cc's and individuals
Perform general accounting functions
Computation of taxable income
Completion of IT12/14 forms and VAT returns


Requirements

Qualification Level: BCompt (Hons-with CTA)
Additional Qualification Level: n/a
Experience Required: 3 - 4 years

Competencies / Skills:

Computer literate with a good knowledge of Pastel, Ms Word and Excel
Be accurate and accountable
Reliable and have good organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
Good communication and administration skills
Must be able to work overtime when necessary
Be a team player Must have own transport
Must be fluent in Afrikaans

Drivers License Required: Yes

Travel Required: Sporadic
