The role

The learners are able to demonstrate their competence with respect to specific learning objectives.  Identification and provision of structured and targeted skills development opportunities in the workplace.  Assessment of learners for the achievement of learning objectives in terms of specified criteria using pre-designed assessment instruments.  Guidance and advice to learners on learning and career progression options and also referring learners to appropriate counseling professionals.  Contribute to the development and review of training materials within the Engineering section.  Ensuring compliance to the MQA Accreditation Standards. Work ethics is of such a nature that workers continuously strive towards improving their own performance. Assure the competence of all subordinates to deliver the required outputs whilst ensuring a safe and healthy work environment and adherence to all environmental, health and safety standards and requirements.

You will need

Facilitation of learning and assessment skills.  Learner guidance and support, supervisory skills, conflict handling skills, interpersonal skills and disciplinary handling skills.

Requirements

 Grade 12/N3 or Training Diploma (Recommended), MS Office / SAP, Minimum of 2 years experience in the engineering field. Registered as an Assessor with MQA or eligible to complete registration as Assessor within 6 months

Remuneration

 The initial salary will be determined in accordance with Kumba Iron Ore Ltd policies

This position is an P4 grading
