The successful candidate will report to the Area Manager – Cape Metropole. Position Purpose The purpose of this role is to manage your specific geographic area in such a way that the key business driver (KBD) standards are met or exceeded in your branch. Location The above-mentioned position is currently available in the Gugulethu department at our Retail:Personal Fin Advisors division/business unit based at our office in Goodwood. The Incumbent will be responsible for: • The control of the operation expense budget (e.g. over-financing, commission, losses, NTU’s and expenses) • Implementing the business plan developed by the Area Manager in your branch. • Managing the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of subordinates. • Entrenching the vision, mission and values (culture) within your branch. • Developing new sales opportunities and increase penetration levels. •Identifying trends, opportunities, threats, and environmental influences. • Key accounts handling. • Recruiting and select high quality SalesConsultants. • Maintenance of satisfactory debt and exposure to risk levels of Sales Consultants. • Optimising production across the product range through Sales Consultants. The applicant should meet these requirements: • Minimum Matric or relevant equivalent NQF4 qualification • Meet FAIS requirements for supervising consultants in terms of having at least 60 credits if they were appointed in 2009 or before OR a full qualification in financial services on an NQF Level 4 or 5 if they were appointed after 2009. • must have passed the First Level Regulatory Exam. * Sound knowledge of Metropolitan products and market • Understanding of the new world of work in terms of utilisation of technology ie MSOffice and inhouse systems *Commitment and desire to follow a career in management * A valid drivers’ licence and own reliable transport * Excellent sales and conduct Track record * Proof of performance record reflected in achieving above the minimum of R5000 CPM, 75% Commission Conservation and 78% PCR •Completion of all basic training and tier two training (Internal Field staff) and marketing Applicants have to submit a detailed CV for the role providing the applicant’s personal details , work history, Qualifications obtained, FAIS credits and references Recommendations * A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous * A relevant financial qualification (preferably a Fellowship of FPI) is advantageous * Ability to communicate in an African language would be advantageous Competencies Required •Achievement orientation •Concern for order, quality and accuracy •Initiative •Information seeking •Interpersonal understanding •Impact and influence •Relationship building •Directiveness •Teamwork and co-operation •Team leadership •Conceptual thinking •Self-confidence Salary Package The remuneration package includes a basic salary and overriding commission
