Objectives: The main purpose would be to drive development within the CPP costing environment. This would be achieved by driving research and development of timeous and accurate costing information and business rules used in costing models. Also to ensure that the quality of costing models (new and current) which are developed, refined, built and maintained are of a high standard.
Key Outputs: Design and develop; Vodacom Service Provider (VSP) and Vodacom South Africa (VSA) costing models and Vodacom Business (VB) products.
Research and drive input data for new costing models, e.g. VSP and VSA.
Refine information feeds for existing cost models.
Automate new processes.
Compile quarterly profitability reports for Tariffs and Channels as well as Network Products reports e.g. Voice, Data and Services for new VSP and VSA Models.
Report on product performance.
Trend analysis.
Manage relationships between all parties concerned with new products and services within these new VSP and VSA Costing Models, when preparing the CPP Tariff and Channel as well as the Network Products reports for Network, VSP and VSA models.
Propose new plans based on findings and research

Requirements: Qualifications and Experience

Matric / Grade 12 or SAQA Accredited Equivalent* is essential
A 3 year degree or diploma (or SAQA accredited equivalent) in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Costing or Mathematical (essential)
A relevant post-graduate qualification in Honours / CTA / CA / CIMA / M Com – will be an advantage
A minimum of 5 years’ experience consisting of the following:
Database experience (data extraction, transformation & manipulation).
Applied statistics experience (including propensity modeling and cluster analysis).
Analytical/research experience.
Reporting experience (including presentations).
Telecommunications industry experience would be an advantage.
Accounting experience would be an advantage
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in telecommunications industry with 1 years’ experience in cost modelling (advantage)

OR

Matric / Grade 12 or SAQA accredited equivalent (essential)
Studying towards a B Comm Accounting and/ or Informatics (essential)
A basic Programming/ IT training – (essential)
A minimum of 8 years’ experience consisting of the following:
Database experience (data extraction, transformation & manipulation)
Analytical/research experience
Reporting experience (including presentations)
Accounting experience would be an advantage
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in telecommunications industry with 2 years’ experience in cost modeling (essential)
