Job Purpose:
• To increase Nedbank's market share through acquisition of new clients for the Bank by selling the full suite of banking products.
Key Functions / Responsibilities
Manage and deepen Bank's relationships with clients:
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of clients’ business and industry as well as clients’ personal situation.
• Set the rules of engagement with clients for the CST.
• Conduct relevant client visits and provide entertainment.
• Orchestrate any interaction between other parties (e.g. CM, product specialists) and clients.
Deepen Nedbank's share of the wallet through cross selling:
• Proactively identify clients’ needs or react to expressed needs.
• Develop appropriate solutions to identified financial needs.
• Orchestrate appropriate specialist interaction with clients (e.g. complex products and processes or where legal requirements necessitates).
• Prepare and deliver written or verbal proposals.
• Negotiate and conclude the deals and collect relevant documentation.
• Handover for implementation to Services Manager.
Client profitability maximised (CVM):
• Make pricing decisions based on CVM perspective.
• Tailor client service level according to an assessment of current and potential value in line with the CVM and sales process.
Credit risk managed jointly with credit manager:
• Provide Credit Analyst with completed documentation (e.g. management accounts and relevant section of credit application containing needs analysis).
• Ensure comprehensive motivation for application based on own assessment and resolution of any concern raised by credit.
• Assume responsibility for on going risk monitoring and management (e.g. daily excess reports).
• Support Credit Risk in the rehabilitation of clients.
Quality new clients acquired:
• Leverage internal and external networks.
• Identify and obtain leads for new client.
• Develop a strategy to approach new client.
• Initiate and conduct client interview and needs assessment.
• Secure business with client to provide relationship opportunity.
Sales related administrative tasks performed:
• Perform sales administration (incl maintaining information on sales kit database, call reporting and completing all required documentation to initiate deals).
• Perform client administration (incl collecting all relevant client information such as FICA, ensuring client information database is updated).
• Compiling reports (e.g. pipeline and sales reports).
• Budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements:
• Grade 12 qualification.
• Bankers Exams and or relevant degree.
• Minimum 5-8 years sales experience within the financial services industry with 6 months - deposits less than 12 months, 1 year - deposits exceeding 12 months.
• Must be Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
