Job Title: Senior Process Engineer (Reference # 8185) Job Grade:07 B

Introduction

Metropolitan Retail IT Business Alignment and BPM has a challenging position for an individual who is results oriented with a consistent record of exceeding standards and expectations to fill the vacancy at our office in Bellville.

The Incumbent will be responsible for:

• Analysis of business requirements
• Process re-design/ Business Process Re-engineering and improvement
• Business process modeling and business process design
• Produce and ensure the implementation of, effective and detailed design engineering of system processes
• Involved with assessing, mapping and optimizing business processes
• The role is a very important link between assessing business requirements and a suitable system solution
• Documenting business requirements – process and functional specifications
• Work with the Business Architect and IT architect to help design solutions
• Liaising with IT developers, accountants, business analysts, project managers and users
• Determine and manage impact of system changes
• System testing

The applicant should meet these requirements:

• B.Com or B.Sc degree or B.Sc (Eng) degree. A post graduate degree will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years in Process Engineering and/or BPM experience
• 2 years experience in an object orientated software development role is an added advantage, either C++/ C#/ .NET/ Delphi/ Java/ J2ee
• Previous working experience with the TIBCO Process suite or IBM Process Designer and IBM Process Server and/or Lombardi would be advantageous
• Experience in applying formal business process modeling/business analysis methodologies
• Registered Professional Engineer, preferable, but not essential; In particular, experience in an engineering consulting environment
• An Agile approach and philosophy towards systems development.
• Knowledge of BPM and Workflow design

Additional Requirements

• Strong process experience skills
• Must have demonstrated process improvements within existing work environment and can quantify the I / E factor in relation to the business model
• Must have demonstrated an ability to innovate existing processing / remove old processes within the current working environment.
