Qualifications:

BCOM(H)FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT / Accounting, Finance or related (Essential / Minimum)

Experience & Requirements:
6-8 years (in total) Treasury accounting, Hyperion and IFRS (Essential / Minimum)
3 years + Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and the interpretation thereof (Essential / Minimum)

Key Performance Areas:
TACTICAL STRATEGY
Responsible to ensure that the company's financial instruments and treasury related financial and performance reporting are in line with IFRS, JSE-, Companies Act and other regulatory requirements. The treasury accountant will also liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure that controls and procedures around financial instruments and treasury related financial and performance reporting are adequate and functional.
SPECIALISED SUPPORT
Technical guidance on treasury (but not limited to) related transactions. Take responsibility for reporting of all treasuries related financial and performance reporting. Application of IFRS, JSE and other statutory requirements relating to treasury financial and performance reporting. Technical accounting opinions. Respond to treasury related audit queries. Custodian for Treasury related system accounts. Recording of financing plan on a budget and forecast basis. Assistance in other financial and performance reporting areas as and when required.
COMPLIANCE
Ensure that related policies, systems and procedures are legally compliant and adhere to sound corporate governance principles.
FINANCIAL PLANNING AND CONTROLLING
Ensure value creation and efficient financial business functioning. Identify, and manage risks by conducting scheduled and unscheduled audits. Ensure effective analysis, interpretation and reporting of financial treasury processes according to accounting principles. Responsible for month-end and year-end financial reporting; management reporting.
CUSTOMER AND CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Support core business by ensuring appropriate stakeholder relationships toward enhancing the corporate profile. Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers or other functions responsible to ensure that the business needs are met and employees are satisfied. Represent Exxaro at applicable forums. Provide relevant financial support to applicable stakeholders.

Key Performance Areas:
Appointments are dependent on the completion of a successful medical examination and receipt of a valid medical certificate. Exxaro facilicates such medical examinations where required.
