Job Purpose:
• To analyse and interpret the receipt, identification, storage and withdrawal of all supported CI's. To provide information and rectify discrepancies with regard to the status of CI's.
• To create reports to communicate IT asset information, and to enable the resolution of configuration management discrepancies.
• To ensure the integrity of the CMS including creation, maintenance and support of business views (BSM).
Key Functions / Responsibilities
Analyse Request for Information:
• Make sure requirements and CI information is correctly captured in the database.
Define and Builds Report and Provides Status of CI's:
• The reports are built and defined considering all requirements in the RFI.
• Generates exception reports and leases with change management to determine applicable CI status.
• Schedules the reports to run with minimal business impact based on an analysis around potential conflicts.

• Logically group CI's to align to data model structure and to meet business and technical requirements. (E.g.
• Products, services, business applications, data models, platforms, environment etc.)
• Identify and recognise relationships between CI's to perform effective impact analysis and ensure the integrity of the CMDB.
Ad Hoc Requests:
• Responding to ad hoc requests for information to enable audits in the business.
• Liaise with stakeholders to achieve accurate audit data.
Run internal audit processes within Configuration management to ensure integrity of CMDB.
Requirements:
• Matric
Diploma in IT
• ITIL Certification
• 1-2 years General IT operational experience
• Networks, Testing, programming, tools administration , SDLC
• Advance PC Literate with MS package qualifications
Occasional Overtime
• Basic Compliance Assessment Training
