BTech Metallurgy/Minerals Processing or related (Optional / Elective)

Experience & Requirements:


5 years (in total) Plant operations; Process Development; Systems and Support; Project Management; CI (Essential / Minimum)

Key Performance Areas:


TECHNICAL SUPPORT, ADVICE AND INPUT
Ensure effective and efficient delivery of a quality service by providing a process development service, high level maintenance and specialised technical support to all applicable sections.Conduct investigations and make recommendations to BU and Line Managers regarding appropriate Engineering techniques to be applied to enhance operations.Conduct audits on process development and implementation, installations, equipment and facilities (during planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and operations).Conduct Project planning, coordination, implementation etc.Failure analyses and root cause problem solving.Provide timeous and accurate feedback to customers.
CONTINIOUS IMPROVEMENT
Initiate continuous improvement initiatives leading to research and development.Managing of continuous improvement projects.Optimise processes, equipment performance, reliability and stability.Assist with developing and training Artisans.Keep abreast of new developments within the specialist field.
CUSTOMER AND CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Liaise with internal and external customers, relevant statutory bodies to ensure sound business relationship management toward meeting client needs. Ensure Exxaro's image is maintained and promoted at all times (internally and externally). Provide a professional / specialist advisory support service with regard to process development /production / product quality across different levels within the organisation.
SAFETY AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ensure and maintain a healthy environment, safe operations, good housekeeping practices and accept responsibility for safety. Comply with SHEQ- and technical requirements, in line with Plant / Mine availability targets. Monitor, identify and respond to defects and / or sub-standard process, equipment performance and other improvement opportunities.

Key Performance Areas:
Appointments are dependent on the completion of a successful medical examination and receipt of a valid medical certificate. Exxaro facilicates such medical examinations where required.
