JOB TITLE : SENIOR ICT TECHNICIAN: NETWORK SECURITY (REF 199/2012)

SALARY : R 434 505 per annum (All inclusive package)

REQUIREMENTS :

Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate OR a
National diploma/degree. Professional level Information Security Certification
(CISSP/CISM/CISA), Cisco training certification (CCNP certified), Checkpoint
Firewall-1NGX training certification (CCSE certified). Experience in the use of
Floodgate-1 or any similar software. Experience in network management and
troubleshooting. Knowledge of VPN and Satellite solution. Knowledge of Wired
and Wireless technologies. Certified copies of the above certificates must be
attached.

DUTIES :

The incumbent will be responsible to investigate and create solutions that
develop ICT applications which can be accessible and secure on Network
Security as per the Directorate’s requirements. Perform troubleshooting. Provide
technical input on tenders/quotations of ICT goods and services to ensure value
for money and relevant ICT network security solutions. Provide general and
specialised advice on ICT network security to all levels of the organisation and
sometimes to stakeholders outside the Department. Execute network security
services to ensure the effective utilisation through operational planning, control,
quality assurance and intervention with a view to directly support service delivery
to DAFF clients.
