Job Title: Senior Corporate Account Manager
Background Information
The Senior Corporate Account Manager will have the responsibility for managing and maintaining a portfolio of key accounts. The Senior Corporate Account Manager will develop a close business relationship with these accounts, will maintain the day to day operations of the contracted services, and will seek other opportunities of synergy with these accounts. In addition, the Senior Corporate Account Manager will be required to introduce the AA Fleetcare products to prospective clients, make presentations and negotiate new business contracts.
The sales and Marketing Division is focused on ensuring acquisition and retention of AA business. The Fleetcare Department’s function is to ensure that there is continued growth and sustainability of business conducted with Corporate Clients, through identification of new opportunities, development and maintenance of current relationships
The Senior Corporate Account Manager is responsible for the management of key accounts within his/her portfolio. The Senior Corporate Account Manager is also accountable for intimately understanding his/her Corporate Client business, objectives and challenges and identifying opportunities for the AA to add value. The Senior Corporate Account Manager owns the portfolio of clients and, as such, must continuously ensure growth and adaptability in its management including providing solutions to the extent of electronic data integrity. The focus for the position will be on increasing each corporate client’s barriers to enhance the relationship with the AA.
Job Objectives
Operational management of existing schemes through effective review and regular report back to clients.
Account management in respect of - timeous billing, handling of client queries, scheme utilisation and profitability, reporting and relationship marketing.
Monitoring of accounting and billing procedures.
Business development within existing accounts to enhance account and incorporate new products.
Negotiation of new accounts.
Participating in market research on an ad hoc basis.
Project management of new schemes with full responsibility for assigning tasks to and coordinating the input of other AA Business units e.g. Call Centre, MIS, training.
It will also be expected of the candidate to write proposals.
To attend exhibits, shows and promotions on behalf of the organistation.
To manage and develop own performance in line with agreed measurements (PACE).
Any additional tasks that the AA Fleetcare management may allocate from time to time.
Job Specific Requirements
Job Knowledge
Project Management knowledge and experience are key requirements for the Corporate Account Manager position.
Working knowledge in respect of budgeting and forecasting, age analysis and balance sheets.
An advanced level of computer knowledge working with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Outlook and MS Excel packages is required.
A sound understanding of administrative processes.
Knowledge of market, products and services.
Knowledge of organisational structure and functioning.
Codes, policies, regulations and procedures related to the company.
Job Related Skills
A self-driven, self-motivated individual.
Excellent information gathering skills.
An ability to analyse client needs and coordinate activities in accordance with these needs.
Good planning and organising skills.
Analytical skills combined with a good understanding of financial aspects such as costing and profitability.
The ability to successfully co-ordinate projects from inception through to implementation are further necessary skills expected.
The candidate should possess superior presentation skills; it will be expected of the candidate to present at board level as well as at senior management level.
A proven ability to conduct meaningful research and translate results.
A good understanding of business development of existing accounts.

Job Experience
At least 3 years working experience in a key account management environment or 3 years working experience in New Business Development, and interacting with clients at a senior level.
Education
A Grade 12 qualification is essential.
Completed or studying towards a recognized Business Management/Relationship Management (or similar) diploma/degree.
Other
Own transport is essential.
To work irregular hours and on weekends and public holidays as required during shows/promotions.
