Introduction... South African Airways (SAA) is seeking to appoint a Manager in their Group Budgeting and Forcasting department. The incumbent of this role is accountable for co-ordinating, planning and preparing the three year budget and rolling forecast processes for the SAA Group and to be proactive and participate in the quarterly Business Unit and Subsidiary financial performance reviews.
Minimum Requirements...
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification at NQF level 4
Relevant CA (SA) and/or CIMA degree/diploma at NQF level 6
Knowledge of SAP R/3 and TM1 experience an advantage
A minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a large enterprise

TECHNICAL ACCOONTABILITIES
Co-ordinate, plan and prepare the three year budget and monthly rolling forecast processes for the SAA Group
Build and maintain budgeting and forecasting policies and procedures
Be financially literate in order to develop and maintain budgets from the lowest level in the organisation to Group Financial Statement / DPE format presentations
Interact successfully with all company divisions and departments in compiling budgets, forecasts and variance analyses
Be proactive and participative in the monthly Business Unit and Subsidiary detailed financial performance reviews and follow up plans
Maintain and upgrade "Dashboard" indicators for valued added decision making
Manage the production of consolidated cost centre variance reports, continually improving the usefulness and user-friendliness of the output and meeting the information needs of the users
Prepare Ad hoc reporting as and when required as well as document system and procedure manuals
Prepare and submit going concern forecasts for financial year-end purposes
Perform annual valuations of SAA subsidiaries
Perform financial assessments on tenders in order to show riskiness
Calculate weighted average cost of capital
Evaluate projects
Assist with preparing and reviewing the annual financial statements
