N3 plus Trade Test
Experience:

Ability to climb 80+ meter steel towers to perform inspections and maintenance in the nacelle and hub

Key Responsibilities

Observes, diagnoses, and repairs Wind Turbines Generators (WTG) or their components in the field and shop, including but not limited to preventative maintenance and repairs.
Troubleshooting, repairing and regular maintenance of wind turbines
Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction. Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment
Observes and diagnoses WTG malfunctions to determine need for adjustment or repair, including clearing "error" codes
Perform operating activities
Issue / cancel permits to work (operating)
Maintain electrical plant equipment, do fault finding and attend to breakdowns
Assist with modification level 1 and 2
Take out plant permits as per laid down procedures e.g. maintenance
Investigate recurring problems level 3
Check that correct spares and materials are available as an when needed
Perform stand by duties
Supervise contractors / Eskom staff activities during outages
Assist with the writing of procedures / instructions / guides and compilation of work packages and submit for authorisation
Perform any other legitimate activity as required
