What theoretical knowledge (e.g. degree / diploma) does the job require?

Relevant degree/diploma in Logistics/Commerce/Supply Chain

What experience (e.g. previous exposure) does the job require?

2 Years administrative experience
2 year retail experience
2 years experience in Supply Chain Operations (DC, Suppliers, Transport).
Experience with Service Providers and Suppliers

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply Chain Scorecard

Compile and Analyze performance statistics highlighting trends identified against the agreed service level agreements (SLA's).
Supply Chain Optimisation

Extract and provide management information to relevant stakeholders and provide input into decision making.
Compile, Analyze & monitor extracted information for distribution to key stakeholders and make recommendations where applicable.
Monitor and record new, existing and dormant suppliers and store information. This includes changes to dispatch locations affecting the network and distribution costs.
Recommend enhancements on existing reports and provide input into new report designs (eg: Triceps)
Communicate any systems issues to IT in line with SLA's.
Implement enhancements for optimizing the Supply Chain.
Participation, integration and implementation of new initiatives and business projects
Escalate operational issues to Line Management to ensure that appropriate action is taken within agreed SLA's
Identify inefficiencies/constraints and recommend process improvement in the Supply Chain
Communicate and provide support and recommendations regarding operational issues (eg: stock movement), to relevant stakeholders within the Clothing & GM Supply Chain.
Supply Chain Stock

Compile Supply Chain Stock information and reports.
Manage Supply Chain Operations Target Group for incidents & requests which have been logged.
Liaise with Internal Audit regarding stock discrepancies, stock takes and inventory adjustments to improve stock management within Supply Chain.
Stakeholder Support

Induct new suppliers into Supply Chain, introducing them to service providers e.g. RTL, SRTV warehouse etc.
Monitor new, existing and dormant supplier and store information. This includes changes to dispatch location affecting the network and costs.
Visit stakeholders e.g. RTL to gather information related to supplier compliance and detail check processes.
Assist buying groups with detailed warehouse & distribution costing.
Engage with stakeholders within the Supply Chain to improve customer service.
Manage Supply Chain Operations Target Group for incidents & requests which have been logged.
Provide Logistics stakeholders with Special event information and launch dates.
Budget

Check accuracy of invoices against warehouse management system and ensure on time payment through Oracle Financials.
Extract and provide Supply Chain budgets and historical information. Monitor & investigate variances and prepare forecasts.
COMPETENCIES

Practical knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain processes.
Knowledge of relevant computer packages (e.g. Excel) and is able to produce reports on the Warehouse Management System
.Understanding of company supply chain processes and the ability to work according to these processes.
Understanding of the impact of own role on service delivery to internal and external customer.
Understanding of the business measures and targets directly relating to own role.
Ability to identify operational obstacles and opportunities and escalate if required
Able to work flexible hours.
Customer service mindset.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Able to scrutinize and interpret written and financial documentation identify mistakes and problems and make recommendations upon findings.
