Overall, help oversee the day to day operational excellence and execution of the customer channels communications team;
Manage the agreed governance within the processes and tools available
Execution of communications delivery on time and within scope
Sign off of messages
Alignment of direct marketing / customer messaging campaigns to internal communications and its impact on staff
Understand and oversee the communications schedule and manage the allocation of time and resources accordingly
Day to day communications support
Execution of communications in line with our key priorities / plans, and 2015 Vision
Partner with Channel Heads and provide communication's support to all Channels including customer channels support areas
Ensure the strong and on-going support and alignment to communication requirements relating to change management activities and work closely with our change management team
Be the key interface of the communications team
Play a strong integrative role, in ensuring that there is seamless alignment in all projects that have a communications impact to customer channels staff (ie. Marketing, sales, change, communications, HR, channel impacted, etc.)
Have a deep understanding of the PBB and customer channels vision and strategy as well as key focus areas - in order to ensure close integration and alignment of messages before they are sent
The role requires one to provide a consultative service to Heads in understanding how the function can better support the overall objectives of business.
Provide specialist communication advise to all channels within Customer Channels as an enable to support business in achieving strategic objectives through planning and executing on plans.
The role includes leveraging the use of all available communication channels including but not limited to; Emails / E-Newsletters / TV / SMS / BDS, other
The major skills requirements for this role includes; project management, editing and writing of content, detail orientated, integrative thinking, solutions focussed, and planning and execution, change management, operate cross-functionally, measurement, relationship management, amongst other.
The role requires alignment to P&BB and Group communications initiatives to drive consistency in messages, while positively driving our brand within the minds of staff.
Events' planning is a key output as we are involved in the planning of conferences / events / Indabas, etc. on behalf of channel.
Quaifications: Matric, Degree in Communications or relevant qualification
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability
Relationship management with internal stakeholders
Ensure Communications effectiveness across the value chain, efficiency and accountability to3 Customer Channels
Build a strong communications function with the relevant capacity and competency to deliver on the channel's strategies within Customer channels
Build and drive perceptions of Customer channels to relevant customer segments
3 - 4 years management experience
Manage a team of 3 Communication Officers
Marketing principles
Knowledge
brand management
