Key Responsibilities

Conducts network, plant and QOS investigations by:
Implementing investigation process
Maintaining investigation Database and system
Identifying and initiating investigations on all abnormal incidents, QOS problems, customer complaints/claims, problem equipment and rogue networks
Coordinating multi-disciplinary feedback supporting investigations
Monitoring progress and action plans for all investigations
Leasing with QOS, Performance group and investigation steering committee
Carrying out site inspections.
Analyses network and equipment performance by:
Extracting and manipulating data from databases
Installing instruments, downloading data and ensuring accurate QOS database
Monitoring and analysing KPI's and trends to identify problem equipment and rogue networks
Analysing secondary plant information for possible malfunction and incorrect operation
Identifying abnormal incidents e.g. High supply losses, frequent line trips, customer, faults affecting the system and fuse operation problems on network
Verifying incident detail in Performance databases;
Analysing Plant data to support investigations and other studies.
Reporting by:
Providing input into content and format of QOS and Investigation reports
Reporting on investigations in progress and completed
Producing QOS reports for customers.
Ensures performance and quality of supply enhancement by:
Summarising the investigation results, initiating corrective action and monitoring implementation
Giving input to processes, e.g. QOS, change control, design, refurbishment, maintenance, network expansion, technical training
Recommending refurbishment projects
Monitoring effectiveness of corrective action.
Provides technical support on QOS and network performance to SACS AND Engineering groups.
