Job Purpose
To source deals, financial structuring, negotiation and execution of equity and leveraged financed type transactions in the Business Banking Customer Offering within P&BB SA.


Key Result Areas
Identification of opportunities, negotiating, financial structuring of transactions and implementation thereof.
To structure deals optimally and negotiate favourable financing terms for the bank.
To conduct research to ensure viability of the proposed transaction and management credibility.
Qualitative analysis and managing outcomes.
To prepare Business Assessment Committee (BAC) and Credit Committee application papers based on the information generated from the customer interactions and Account Executives.
Presentation of BAC and Credit Committee papers to the respective committees.
To facilitate the preparation of term sheets by P&BB SA Credit Legal.
To negotiate transaction legal agreements to correspond with term sheets.
To proactively manage the execution of the transactions.
To effectively liaise and network with customers, Business Banking Channel personnel to generate leads.
Provide support service to Business Banking Suites and Account ExecutivesKey performance measures are aligned to the Key Result Areas (KRA's) and/or c@ps, business scorecard and include: - Transactions concluded and paid out.
- Transaction pipeline.
- Revenue generation: Economic profit and fees generated by the transactions.
- Efficiency and effectiveness.
- Quality of relationships gained or sustained.
- Quality of the work.
- Customer satisfaction.
- Processing efficiency.
Number of complaints decreased due to effective root cause analysis.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability

Good networking skills - ability to build relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
Ability to handle stressful situations in an environment that operates under tight deadlines and significant work pressure.
Strong analytic skills - proficient in conducting financial analysis and building financial models.
Credit evaluation skills.

Experience

2-5 years banking/finance/deal structuring experience.
Must have experience in analysing financial statements, viability studies and financial modelling.
Must have a fair understanding of legal agreements, financial statements and tax/.

Knowledge

Relevant post-graduate degree with a financial background, eg CA(SA), BCom (Accounting) or( Finance/ Investments/ Economics), LLB, Hnrs in Engineering
