KEY REQUIREMENTS
· NQF 6 level in Commerce or Business Management (Preferably in Supply Chain Management)· Minimum of 5 years experience managing supply chain portfolio and proven track record in related activities (Aviation related experience in these areas would be an advantage)· Ability to work well with a diverse group of people and team player· Must be computer literate. (MS office, etc.)· Good communication skills (verbal & written) also good presentation skills· Must be a team player and be able to work under pressure · Must be willing to work long hours and be available to support the 24hrs aviation operation if and when required· Must be self motivated and have a good customer service orientationTechnical or related industry acumen would be an added advantage

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage supply chain department in compliance with PFMA, BBBEE, SACAA etc. regulatory requirements
Be fully affair with the strategic purchasing and tender process
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
Manager and develop SLA’s and preferred supplier agreements with key suppliers and internal customers
Manager inventory holding and movement in accordance with international best practice
Effectively manage the structure of the Technical Supply Chain department
Generate execute reports e.g. procurement, capex, opex, component TAT, warranty admin etc.
Be fully conversant with respect to international freight forwarding and SARS requirements for movement of high cost items
Sustain prudent inventory protection levels to within the confines of budget and fleet requirements
Control the stores department to within CAA regulatory body requirement and be fully conversant with stock control and audit methods
Control expenditure and develop cost saving initiatives within the framework of the Technical Supply Chain processes
Manage staff discipline, performance and identify training requirements
Represent SAX and participate in International Forums of stakeholder importance
Manage and facilitate all financial and operational audit (internal/external) events
