The second largest investment manager in South Africa as measured by assets under management, SIM manages financial assets for individual, institutional, retail and corporate clients and offers investments strategies in vehicles ranging from collective investments to institutional portfolios. SIM is grouped into six boutiques that share a common research platform.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies, advertising, communications and client retention/attraction strategies that support the Institutional business objectives of SIM.
Provide a proactive marketing service to the Institutional side of the business as well as offer ad hoc marketing services on request of the business.
Take responsibility for marketing projects for from initiation to completion.
Ensure consistency of branding across all marketing and advertising opportunities in line with the corporate image.
Identify possible gaps, new business opportunities and possible service level enhancements.
Write comprehensive briefs on behalf of the Institutional business for internal and external suppliers.
Proactively initiate and develop PR ideas and stories, as well as ways to build relationships between key individuals and the media.
Develop strong working relationships with the Institutional Business Development team and external suppliers.
Manage the marketing budget and prioritise projects.
Proactively manage the business’s events calendar, and branding requirements.
Proactively seek and recommend opportunities that will benefit the development of an overall Sanlam investment brand.

Minimum Requirements

Commercial degree will be a distinct advantage.
At least three years in an Institutional Business Development or Institutional Client Administration role at an Asset Manager or Asset Consultant.
