Brief Description



This role is responsible for marketing of the Old Mutual Risk products to the distribution Channels in order to increse sales. Key to the role is the knowledge of our Risk products and analysis of competitor product and activity and the positioning of Old Mutual profile in the regions.

KRA's



· Marketing Service Delivery

o Markets the Old Mutual product set to the distribution channels.

o Initiates, implements and monitors agreed marketing plans within the region.

o Assists Product Management, Product Marketing, Distribution Marketing, Regional Marketing Managers on the rollout of product marketing strategy in the regions.

o Plans and delivers formal presentations to channels, advisors and clients.

o Manages product marketing events, in order to position the Old Mutual profile in the regions.



· Market Research

o Keeps up to date with product development in the financial services industry.

o Identifies product marketing opportunities.

o Displays knowledge of competitor products and conducts comparative analysis.



· Relationship Building

o Develops and maintains relationships with distribution channels.



· Budget Control

o Compiles regional product marketing budget.

o Monitors and controls regional product marketing budget

Job Requirements



· Relevant business degree and specialised Risk product knowledge

· CFP would be an advantage.

· Substantial experience in a marketing/sales distribution environment will be advantageous.

· Sound computer literacy (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

· Strong ability in the creating of marketing presentations.

· Strong interpersonal persuasive and presentation skills.

· Good communication skills (both verbal and written).

· The ability to access and integrate information quickly.

· Strong problem solving abilities.

· High level of professionalism

· Successful applicant must own a car and be in possession of valid drivers license.

· Must be prepared to travel extensively and be away from home overnight
