Job Title: Operational Service Desk Consultant (Reference # 8117)

Position Purpose

Provide an effective and efficient service to clients by receiving, evaluating and responding to telephonic/electronic enquiries timeously.


Experience & Qualifications

Grade 12.

Minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience.


Work Output

Take ownership of all queries and ensure that they are resolved as per agreed Service Level Agreements and effectively.

Utilise IT systems effectively, to ensure accuracy of service.

Adhere to organisational best practice and legislative requirements.

Adhere to policies and procedures and take corrective action where necessary.

Ensure all risks are mitigated and escalated where necessary.

Identify risks to the company and escalate accordingly.

Engage in effective communication and delivery.

Maintain a consistent service delivery to ensure client retention and satisfaction.

Obtain and maintain broad product knowledge in order to effectively and accurately respond to customer queries.

Provide first time resolution on queries.

Deal promptly with client requests in a competent, efficient and professional manner
Drive and support effective teamwork within the department.

Engage in appropriate training interventions to promote own professional development.

Ensure to demonstrate the company's values on a daily basis.

Accurate receipting of general, telephone and policy related cash receipting payments and petty cash collection.

Logging all travelling, petty cash, foreign payment, payment requests and telephone spends on an Excel spreadsheet.

Banking deposits for various departments (Cape Town only) .

Maintain and follow up on new vendors / suppliers and supporting documentation.

Distribution of petty cash and cheques to internal clients.

Managing the booking of the Group Finance meeting rooms.

Ensuring timeous and accurate linking of accounts and cost centres.

Administration of system training.
