You can now become a member of our dynamic, service oriented team as a Dental Advisor.
The Incumbent will be responsible for:
Conduct clinical assessments
Formulate management recommendations on dental clinical matters
Ensure quality control and accuracy
Development of guidelines and protocols for Metropolitan Health Risk Management according to standards prescribed by the organisation that are evidence based.
On going training of Case Managers
Receiving, managing and decision making on referred work to Dental advisor from MHG and from Metropolitan Health Risk Management for client medical schemes
Satisfactory resolution of problems referred from internal and external stakeholders
Identifying opportunities for process and clinical guidelines to be used
Interact and engage with dental practitioners on clinical matters
Attendance of Clinical Advisors and other related meetings, administration, reports.
Develop and implement certain aspects of the Dental Health Management Wellness & Preventative programmes
Conduct departmental assessment guidelines and practice notes
Other relevant tasks, as may arise.
The applicant should meet these requirements:
A BDS or equivalent dental degree
At least 2 years experience as a dentist
Registration with HPCSA as a Dental Practitioner
Professional Indemnity Insurance
Experience in medical aid or managed care industry an advantage
A target and deadline driven approach
Knowledge of SADA guidelines, clinical protocols and dental tariffs.
Understanding of dental procedures and proper billing
