To hunt for and secure NEW Corporate and Commercial insurance business opportunities by performing a proactive, mobile, value adding financial partnership role in the commercial market, ensuring that continual close personal attention is given to providing a comprehensive array of customised Insurance solutions tailored to meet customer needs in terms of business growth and potential.

Insurance Sales and financial targets as per KRA scorecard:

- Profitability measured by contribution

- Net number of new accounts (growth in new business)

- Number and quality of leads converted and written

Risk: Quality of new business
Quality of Insurance broking/underwriting documentation
Competence rating of embedded /non embedded products
Customer satisfaction index

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability

assist in translating vision into corporate goals
build the capacity to deliver on the company vision
manage a professional team
participate in overall policy and strategy development, for setting of goals and objectives
prioritise and supervise the day-to-day operational activities of the staff
conduct performance appraisals
ensure that the capacity to deliver on the company vision is built
translate vision into corporate goals

Experience

conducting performance appraisals
directing and managing the day-to-day activities of the staff
managing a professional team
managing customer requirements and expectations

Knowledge

high-level understanding of business
industrial and commercial enterprises
industry standards, technology trends and best practices
local labour legislations and regulations, e.g. LRA, Employment Equity, Skills Development, etc.
