Context Commercezone is a division of Multichoice within the Naspers Group. A Programme Manager is required to manage the current project team. Project Management and support for the current Commerce One platform is required as well as future systems involving SAP Technologies.

Outputs Manage and develop the project teams in Johannesburg and Cape Town;
Manage functional team leaders providing operational support
Programme managing implementation of solutions with external clients;
Project management of strategic implementation projects, as appropriate;
CommerceZone Project Portfolio Management for all implementation and support projects;Manage Operational Customer Support delivery
Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System for the Operational Teams;
Manage and develop the CommerceZone Project Management Office;
Quality assurance of Project Management and Implementation Methodology;
Contribute to the strategic development of CommerceZone solutions;
Manage expectations and high-level relationships with clients during implementations;
Ensure the customers are satisfied with services rendered by pro-active management of customer expectations.
Contribute to business development by providing input to pre-sales efforts and ensure projects are set-up for success during Pre-sales phase;
Estimate Implementation costs and manage to budget;
Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient operation of the team;
Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance;
Reviews and interprets financial and operating information, as appropriate; coordinates and develops periodic financial and/or operating analyses, and prepares financial/business reports for the GM and CommerceZone management;
Provides advice and assistance to senior management in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations, systems, and procedures;
Develops annual operating budgets;
Pro-actively manage all risks in the environment and ensure appropriate and timeous escalation of risks and issues take place;
Responsible for the resource planning needed to satisfy the capacity and performance requirements of the team;

Education & Experience B.Sc / B.Com / B.Sc qualification essential
Project Management qualification advantageous
Experience of Financial systems implementations (ERP) would be advantageous
Experience of E-Procurement systems implementation would be advantageous
Experience of SAP would be advantageous but not essential
Own transport and drivers license


Competencies Functional

Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience
Minimum of 2 years Programme management
Experience in managing Project Management team and Project Management Office
Procurement best practice knowledge and experience will be advantageous
Experience with having worked with SAP SRM, advantageous
Experience in IT Services or consulting industry
Strong knowledge of the software development process
Knowledge of e-procurement system implementation beneficial
Knowledge of ERP extremely beneficial
Experience in working directly with all levels of staff
