JOB TITLE: GM: Group Marketing - Marketing Department (Johannesburg)
Design and implement annual marketing plan for e.tv and other subsidiaries within the group as and when required
Facilitate development and implementation of marketing plans for e.tv and, on request, for e.sat
Translate business unit objectives and strategies to develop brand portfolio objectives, strategies and plans to facilitate business unit growth
Develop marketing strategy, based on knowledge of established policy, nature of market, copyright and royalty requirements including cost and market factors
Plan and administer e.tv’s Marketing Operations budget
Manage suppliers and ensure best practice at all times
Negotiate with media agents to secure agreements for translation of materials into other media
Work closely with Creative Services to ensure that all campaigns are delivered as per creative briefs
Give direction and work closely with brand managers in developing promotional materials including marketing collateral and print copies
Develop and administer marketing database
Provide support and relevant services and work closely with the Communications, e.tv online and Corporate Social investment departments
Supervise Marketing Assistant, Events Co-ordinator and Marketing Manager
Make staffing and hiring decisions within the department
Build and develop a marketing team which is competent, commercially astute, dedicated and efficient
Develop and deliver insightful presentations and strategies to the senior management of e.tv and e.sat where appropriate
Ensure the integration of the business unit marketing function within that of the greater group, and ensure that the business unit optimizes its use of shared and support services
Assist the business unit to meet its objectives, live the values and culture and to practice company policies
Ensure and monitor brand synergy across the various e.tv sub-brands, digital channels and including online platform and social media
Requirements:
BS/BA in Marketing or related field
Minimum 8 years marketing experience at a small to mid-size professional services organization
2 years experience at marketing executive level or 5 years experiences at marketing manager
Experience with new media and internet advertising
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A hunger to learn and ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach
Ability and willingness to work under high pressure at irregular hours
