Introduction

To analyse the promotional performance (sales, profitability and customer indicators) for the business pre, post and during all major trading events to provide internal and external insight
Minimum Requirements


Retail Business Management diploma/degree or equivalent
Minimum 2-4 yrs retail, commercial and financial analysis preferably in C&GM
Able to conduct promotional cost benefit analysis and to understand causes of problems and develop workable solutions
Able to gather, analyse and assess relevant information of past, current or future events, trends or situations and to make informed business decisions
Fully computer literate i.e. advanced Excel, data mining, spreadsheet analysis
Effective influencing / assertive communication skills

Job Specification


Ensure that all major trade activity is evaluated and analysed to ensure that all sales and profit opportunities are capitalised on.
Ensure that an aggressive & successful trade plan for the business is correctly analysed and captured and used to support and enable decisions.
Develop strong & productive relationships across all the business divisions, especially the Trading Group, Marketing CIU and Retail.
Support the delivery of the LFL sales with strong evaluated trade plan that understands the impact of previous year's performance and key competitor activities.
Create and communicate clear and simple reviews on all major trading activities
Support Trade Analyst Manager with analysis to support the best Direct strategy that drives frequency and spend of all our customers profitably with a clear coherent message for stores across the store formats.
Working with external suppliers to deliver the best service level at the lowest cost.
To continuously look for new ways analysis and present data that helps the teams' deliver
Maintain data base of promotional analysis that can be used to support decisions across the business
Implement promotional analysis t ensure commercial decision making and best use of trading budgets
Work with the Trading areas to help them develop a commercially viable trading plan that will help them achieve their sales and profit budgets
