Introduction
To develop and manage a best practice framework for the enterprise Risk Management function that fulfils a statutory, reporting and governance function as well as advise on strategy formulation and business direction based on risk interpretation.
In addition to develop, maintain, manage and execute a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring and reporting on risks.

Minimum qualifications
Appropriate Post-Graduate qualification or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or a Masters degree in risk management.
8-10 years of risk management or risk consulting experience in a professional services firm or listed corporate.
Ability to build strong networks and strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge and understanding of
o Implementing an effective risk management processes in a corporate environment.
o Insurance portfolio management.
o How to identify, evaluate and manage business risks.
o How to implement business continuity planning.
Job Specification
Facilitates the execution of ERM processes and infrastructure as a key enabler to achieving the business objectives.
Assists the board and senior management to establish and communicate the organisations ERM objectives and direction including risk management policies, risk appetite.
Assists management with integrating risk management with the strategy development process.
Works with the business units to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities.
Ensure effective alignment between ERM process and internal audit and risk financing.
Develop, implement and maintain an ERM framework and supporting policies and procedures.
Conducts risk management education and training from time to time.
Develop and implement risk assessment methodologies, models and systems
Assess and maintain the risk maturity profile of the organisation
Ensure that all the ERM team members consistently discharge their duties in terms of the business strategy process, both in terms of analysis and continuous effective communication.
Develop, implement and manage a People Capability plan that ensures that the department has the human resources and skills required to deliver on the strategy for the short-, medium- and long-term.
Develop an adequate risk insurance coverage programme
