EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER (B390)
Duties: As a member of the Human Resources Management Team, the Employee
Relations Manager will be responsible for Managing Employment relationships within
the university, both from an individual and collective perspective, including :
• Managing discipline and grievances • Acting as chief negotiator on engagements
between management and organised labour • Acting as advisor to line management
on labour issues • Ensuring statutory compliance with human resource policies and
practices • Handle dispute litigation and represent the University at CCMA as well as
Management of Employee Assistance Programme.
Requirements: The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
• A postgraduate degree in Law with specialization in Labour Law at postgraduate
level • Seven years’ experience in labour relations in a multi union environment •
Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills are essential •Advanced
negotiation skills are critical.
