Minimum Requirements

Qualification:
N4 Electrical or Project Management
Valid Driver Licence (Code 08)
Experience:
5 years distribution environment recommended 2 years work planning and scheduling

Key Responsibilities

Customer Satisfaction by:
Ensures that dates, times and other requirements which are critical from a customer perspective are met by
Comparing the work requirements to the customer service level agreements (customer specific and generic)
Comparing the skills, materials, vehicles, equipment and tools requirements to the available resources
Allocating the appropriate people, material vehicles, equipment, and tools to the work.
Ensures continuity of supply to customers by
Comparing the work requirements to the customer service level agreements (customer specific and generic).
Allocating resources to planned work while taking cognisance of preferred outage dates and times
Ensures coordination of resources for field work by
Monitoring and checking activities on the Planned Maintenance Programme and Planned Outage programme
Performing Work Order management
Production Plan by:
Establishing and maintaining a production plan
Determining production workload for the planning interval
Integrating various demands on the production plan by
Evaluating work orders to determine the resource requirements.
Evaluating the relative priorities of the work orders.
Evaluating the resource calendar, taking cognisance of constraints (e.g. meetings, leave, training etc)
Revises and Re-negotiates the production plan by
Taking into account the changes
Providing feedback on changes to stakeholders
Obtaining inputs from all relevant parties on proposed revisions
Updates the production plan
Managing the risks
Coordinate Resources by:
Ensures Employee satisfaction by optimising resources for planned, unplanned and Live work activities taking cognisance of service level agreements and contracts that exists by
Evaluating, comparing and matching skills and other resources required to perform work utilizing internal and external resources (contracts, etc) giving preference to Live work.
Assign work to appropriate resources
Expedites resources (material, vehicles, tool etc) to performing units
Manage work by
Monitoring the progress of work and geographic location of the work teams
Obtaining latest information on the status of the work (Milestone feedback)
Determining whether work execution is at risk
Exploring and applying alternatives to mitigate risks
Manage risks by
Forecasting and evaluating the work requirements
Identifying resource constrains (ie, competencies, tools, vehicles)
Coordinating the appropriate work team most suited geographically
Identifying and coordinating cross boundary resource
Information Management by:
Manage information by
Capturing correctly the relevant information on work in progress and completed work such as
Response times,
Resources availability and utilisation,
History of work done on network plant
Providing information as and when required to relevant stakeholders
Continuous Improvement by:
Recommends improvements to the production planning processes by
Influencing business rules and process for production planning
