To design and propose enhanced origination, account management strategies with the aim of maximizing profit and minimising risk of the Affordable housing portfolio within Inclusive Banking.

Disseminate, interpret and commenting on portfolio performance and inform the appropriate business/risk initiatives through the appropriate analysis.

Provide support and direct the Affordable housing origination account management strategies, which include:

Working closely with business partners in refining the ROE models to identify pockets of opportunity
Refine the affordability assessment and its interplay with application scoring
Develop a test and learn methodology, including the required reporting to continuously improve origination strategies
Drive the development of an alternative origination processes
Developing and alternative credit assessments based on available internal and bureau information
Defining alternative origination strategies for the affordable housing customer base
Working closely with business partners to design the associated operational fulfilment process
Collaborating with business partners to ensure optimal operational execution of strategies
Conduct regular, proper analysis of all execution strategies taking Risk and Reward into account.
Regular monitoring of scorecards, usage and associated performance.
Input into the system design and architecture requirements as they relate to the above.
Provide support to the execution of the above mentioned strategies.
Understanding the impact of a changing economic environment on the portfolio and facilitating appropriate pro-active change.

Reporting

Drive the development and implementation of appropriate MI reporting to optimise strategies through champion challenge methodologies

Disseminating, interpreting and commenting on portfolio performance and inform the appropriate business/risk initiatives through the appropriate analysis
Develop and continuously refine financial forecasting models and collaborate with business partners in developing and enhancing profitability (ROE) models

Stakeholder Management

Obtain ongoing insight on the product through engagement with measurement, developers, sales teams and customer insight

Engagement with other business units such as Credit, Finance, Capital to provide a holistic view of the portfolio.

Well defined and executed strategy relating to product continuum
Segmentation of the Affordable housing market with appropriate products and features
Simplified and well positioned offering for all housing needs
Rent to buy and unsecured offering
Effective Stakeholder Management

Key dimensions of the job

Accountability for the implementation of the Affordable Housing mandate to ensure profitability and value add to home loans
The role requires extensive communication with executives and other product units within the Bank
The job involves working with Finance, Credit, Sales to ensure maximisation of the business efforts
Holistic management of the Affordable Housing portfolio.

Previous experience in product design/management, including segmentation
Minimum 5 years work experience in total at management level
Previous experience in retail key including proven delivery of similar projects

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability

Timeous and accurate production of monthly and quarterly reporting for the portfolio
Design and Develop the required reporting to guide strategy and process refinement
Regular monitoring of scorecard performance and usage as well as influencing re-development of scorecards where appropriate
Provide business input to Projects including the Target Operating model initiative and Work requests.

Experience

Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment governing financial services in the business and retail consumer markets
Mature business knowledge - especially in the secured/unsecured environment.
Minimum of 5 years experience in an analytics or credit portfolio management environment.
Experience with Experian software would be an advantage
Understanding of the secured/unsecured Lending environment.
