Post Description:
The purpose of the job is coordination of all training undertaken by the PGC, from both academic and logistical perspectives. The incumbent will report to the Director of the PGC and will work in close partnership with Centre staff in roll-out of the various PGC functions.

- Academic leadership of the training programmes offered by the PGC.
- Sourcing and/or development of research development programmes for roll-out by the PGC.
- Project management, to include budget management, logistics, communication.
- Oversight of project databases, and mapping of trends in postgraduate development within the UJ and nationally.
- Any other duties, as assigned by the Director of the PGC
Requirements:
- Masters' degree in any field
- An understanding of the specific developmental needs of UJ PG students.
- The ability to conceptualise and develop research development programmes for the specific needs of UJ PG students.
- An in-depth understanding of the various components of research development, including academic research writing and research methodologies.
Recommendations:
- Skills in database management
- Developed expertise in academic literacy and/or research methodologies
- Completed doctoral degree
