Permanent management level position at Standard Bank of South Africa in the Financial industry.

Job Purpose
Design the appropriate positioning for IB within the South African market context in achievement of IB objectives.
Develops IB's strategy in relation to the informal and formal Market segment for engagement of internal (staff and key stakeholders) and external (press, peers, customers and key institutional bodies) stakeholders.
To provide strategic insights to Inclusive Banking (IB) and relevant stakeholders on the informal and formal Market segment to inform the engagement drivers.
To design and develop the levers to enable and sustain the required behavioural shift in the informal and formal Market.


Key Result Areas
Market segment and market engagement.
Responsible for the marketing strategy for informal and formal Market Segment.
Facilitates the strategic positioning of IB through conferences and a network of institutions involved in similar initiatives.
Through market engagement implements critical success factors required to support customer behaviour change in the IB distribution channels.
Identifies risks in the informal and formal Market segment and initiates product and channel development to mitigate risk (e.g. health insurance).
Establishes partnerships and relationships with a view to providing thought leadership: Partners with research houses and universities that specialise in inclusive banking (unbanked and under-banked financial services markets);.
Sources and negotiates funding for the research.
Assesses all risks in a segment, e.g. maximum concentration limit or a 100% concentration for better admin and community investment; leaves community with a risk of illness; or provides health insurance and services in order to optimise IB risk/reward ratio and for the overall benefit to the community.
Builds relationships with Group and PBB Marketing and provides input into marketing plans and deliverables to ensure alignment to informal and formal Market segment requirements Accountable for defining and designing the consumer education strategy for all the IB market segments and the implementation of the strategy.
Creates the necessary continuum, from financial literacy to brand and product.
Embeds Standard Bank as one brand in the targeted segment and makes the brand an integral part of the money flow and risk mitigation.
Employs community members and services where possible.
Develops the bank's strategy in relation to the informal and formal Market segment for engagement of external stakeholders (including Financial Services Board [FSB], Treasury & Banking Association).
Establishes a capability for sharing information about the IB value proposition with the customers in informal and formal markets (e.g. community bankers, pamphlets, newsletters, brochures, promotional material, SMS, call centre).
Value proposition:.
Defines the communication approach, mediums and collateral requirements in support of the segment offerings/value propositions.
Drives on the ground (from the players themselves) understanding of competitive approaches and market activity to ensure accessibility in its fullest meaning is being delivered through a focus on product simplicity, product channel capabilities, product affordability.
Leverages agency partners in support of enhancing competitor activity understanding.
Developed and drives the execution of customer experience in all IB Channels.

Qualifications
Degree

Experience
Minimum of 5 years in a Marketing, Business Management or financial institution or in conducting development work.
Experience in working with dynamic and diversified functional teams.
