Information Security Analyst: Solaris/Apple Mac Specialist
Nedbank 105 West Street, Sandton

Purpose:
Analyse logical security across Nedbank Group resources and systems for identities. Independently delivers on work tasks. Mentor Analysts . Coordinating with specialists. Participate in analysis work tasks and investigate alternative policies, standards, technologies and proposing improvements. Protecting information assets on Solaris and Mobile devices.

Key Outputs:
Provide security consulting services to projects, identifying risks and providing solutions, requirements and standards for security in maintenance and innovation
Consulting / Education services (Analysis of problems/risks and recommended solutions)
Define / Specify (system configurations, standards, procedures/logistics, designs, software [typically developed by another area], hardware [typically purchased/outsourced], acceptance testing)
Project support (input and adherence to agreed plans, progress reporting)
Analysis / Investigation services (Business and technical requirements definitions and designs)
Information security product selections (Buy vs build decisions, RFI/RFP, product evaluation reports & solution motivations aligning with strategy & architecture)
Information security solution implementation and support during implementation (implemented solution)
Research/technology tracking (Categorised archives, pro-active recommendations)
Audit finding support (agreed actions implemented)

Qualifications:

Relevant Degree or diploma
CISSP
Operated successfully at a management level for 2-5 years and have extensive experience in the IT/ Financial services/ Banking operations industry
Demonstrated his/her ability to combine technology, process and people to achieve productivity gains, leading significant cultural change, and bringing innovative solutions into the business
2 years information security experience

Certifications:
Solaris Security (PAM Modules, Kerberos, Authentication)
Cryptography,
Public key certificates and CA’s
Key management,
Web Services security
Mobile payments / applications
Internet commerce.
UNIX scripting
Web development
Programming (C , Java, perl or related)
CA implementation
