3 years Competent person in terms of SAMREC guidelines, Commodity specific experience and registered with SACNASP(Earth/Nature Scientist) (Essential / Minimum) (Operational)
Legal Appointments - App 2.9.2 / 7.4 (Essential/Minimum)
Memberships – GSSA (Essential/Minimum)

Key Performance Areas:


STRATEGY AND SPECIALIZED SUPPORT
Develop and implement the on-mine in fill drilling strategy and planning. Ensure compliance of geological activities / standards to be in line with approved operational strategy. Coordinate and align geological activities and processes. Ensure accurate geological models for both current and any “Brownfield” expansions”. Co-ordinate compilation of mineral reserve and resource statements for approval. Management and coordination of Structure analysis process. Manage mineral resource dimensions modeling with grade and tonnage prediction by means of block modeling. Assist in conducting mineral resource-, production and mining calculations and reporting. Mineralogical investigations. Assist with geophysical / geo-chemical and mineralogical duties. Responsible for secondary negotiations and license application. Co-ordinate and mentor all PIT development and activities.
GEOLOGICAL DATA CONTROL
Manage and coordinate geological mapping, ensure interpretation and modeling. Develop, implement and manage systems to ensure updated geological data on a continuous basis. Verify compilation of geological reports.
PROJECT AND CI
Verify and ensure feasibility studies on new mine geology projects.
COMPLIANCE
Adhere to OHS Act and comply with company specific SHE policies and procedures. Ensure all business operations adhere and comply with corporate governance,
statutory, legal and other requirements. Identify and manage geological risks by assessing liabilities, reporting and monitoring standards, as well as attending to rehabilitation / environmental problems in line with Exxaro standards. Create awareness, address all unsafe practices and accept responsibility for area of responsibility. Implement and maintain audit structure.
CUSTOMER AND CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Support core business by ensuring appropriate stakeholder relationships toward enhancing the corporate profile. Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers or other functions responsible to ensure that the business needs are met and employees are satisfied. Provide relevant support and legislative service to applicable stakeholders.
